RoxLab Translate is designed so your words can stay on your iPhone. This page describes how the app and this website handle information.
Translation on your device
Supported translations run on your iPhone. Translation text is not sent to Google, DeepL, OpenAI, or other cloud translation APIs. The first time you open the app, RoxLab can download an official on-device AI model — about 440 MB — and store it locally. That download does not include the text you translate. Until the on-device model runtime is ready, the app can use Apple on-device Translation on iOS 18 or later. Language packs may download with your permission.
Camera and voice
Camera text detection uses on-device Vision. Speech uses on-device recognition when available. If on-device speech recognition is unavailable, the app fails locally instead of falling back to a network recognizer.
What we do not keep
Translation text, OCR text, voice transcripts, and personal documents are not written to debug logs and are not sent to a RoxLab translation server.
Purchases
If you buy RoxLab Translate Pro, Apple processes the payment. When an entitlement server is configured, it verifies Apple transactions only. It does not receive the text you translate.
This website
This marketing site may collect the information you send if you email us, plus standard server logs needed to operate the site. The app does not currently send usage telemetry. If product analytics are added later, they will be isolated from translation content.
